Based on the Capacity-Building Strategy for the Asia-Pacific Region and related programs, WHITR-AP Beijing continues to develop a multi-level, diversified training system, offering programs for various groups including heritage practitioners, young professionals, and secondary school students across the Asia-Pacific region.

Focusing on the World Heritage Convention, WHITR-AP Beijing leverages Peking University’s strong research environment and academic support. It brings together experts from fields such as archaeology, museology, urban environments, architectural landscapes, and geospatial physics to engage in multidisciplinary work covering both natural and cultural heritage. WHITR-AP Beijing actively undertakes projects related to World Heritage nomination research, consultation, protection, and management.

WHITR-AP Beijing actively expands international cooperation networks by leveraging high-level exchange platforms and diverse collaboration mechanisms. It has gradually established a heritage exchange and cooperation network centered in Beijing, connecting the Asia-Pacific region and radiating globally, thereby promoting knowledge sharing and policy dialogue in the field of heritage conservation.
