Dynamic | “The Development and Future of Archaeological Sites” Offline Salon to Launch Tomorrow
September 23, 2022

On September 24–25, the Liangzhu Lecture series event “The Development and Future of Archaeological Sites,” part of the 2022 commemorative activities for the 50th anniversary of the World Heritage Convention, will be held at Liangzhu Ancient City. The event is jointly organized by the Hangzhou Liangzhu Site Administrative Committee, the UNESCO World Heritage Training and Research Centre for the Asia and the Pacific Region (Beijing), and the School of Archaeology and Museology at Peking University.

With the theme “The Development and Future of Archaeological Sites,” the event invites more than ten well-known experts and young scholars to gather in Liangzhu to discuss issues related to the protection, management, and development of archaeological sites. The aim is to generate more targeted, guiding, and innovative ideas for the future development of archaeological sites.

Over the course of two days, the program includes keynote speeches, a youth forum, and salon dialogue sessions.

The keynote speeches will be livestreamed in full. Highlights from the youth forum and salon discussions will be shared later via the Liangzhu Ancient City WeChat account and video platform.
